An interesting apple spread with special spices. Unlike classic jams, this spread contains no sugar. You can keep it up to two weeks in the fridge without vacuum, or up to two months in vacuum jars.
1.5 kg green apples
1 cup maple syrup
Juice from 1 lemon
1 flat teaspoon ground English pepper
1 flat teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1 flat teaspoon cinnamon
1.5 cups water
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut into small cubes.
Place all the ingredients in a crock-pot and mix well.
Cover, set the crock-pot on low heat, and cook for 8 hours.
After 8 hours pour into a bowl and leave for half an hour to cool.
Grind the mixture in a food processor or hand blender, pour it into jars, and keep in the fridge.
