A quick and simple dish of beef with fennel for the HCG diet. No fat or oil, no sugar or starch. The dish is tailored to all of Dr. Simmons’ guidelines in terms of preparing the food for this diet.
100g sirloin clean of all visible fat
250g fennel cut into thin strips
1/3 cup parsley
Pinch of cumin
Pinch of ground cardamom
Salt and pepper
1/3 cup chopped green onion, green part only
1 cup water
Pour the water into the pot, add the meat, fennel and spices except the green onion.
Cover the pot and bring to a boil.
Cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
Strain the liquid, sprinkle the green onion on top and serve.
Meat 105 cal.
Fennel 50 cal.
When you add the fruit and carbohydrates allowed (grissini, cracker, etc.) it reaches 250 calories.
