2 kg osu boko beef
2 cups chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup carrots cut into circles
1 can crushed tomatoes (no tomato paste)
1/2 cup red wine
8 crushed garlic cloves
2 cups mushrooms cut into quarters
2 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup chopped parsley
Grated lemon zest from a medium lemon
3-5 bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
Chicken soup as needed (you can use powder)
Heat a crock-pot on high heat.
Add a tablespoon of oil to the electric pot and sauté the onion for 5-7 minutes until it is transparent.
Add the rest of the oil and add the meat.
Brown the meat on all sides. (The browning comes out different than on a frying pan – slower and a lighter color).
Mix the rest of the ingredients and pour over the meat.
Add chicken broth until the meat is covered.
Lower the heat of the crock-pot to low and cook for 8 hours.
