A different and special recipe for hummus that adds flavor and variety to the table. Although homemade hummus usually is only the classic dish, if you add some interesting things to it it might surprise you.
1/4 teaspoon spicy paprika
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 cups chickpeas
2 teaspoons crushed garlic
1 package silk tofu
2 tablespoons raw tahini
1/4 teaspoon cumin
2 tablespoons olive oil
Preparing the Chickpeas
Soak the chickpeas in water for at least eight hours.
Place the chickpeas in a pressure cooker with water reaching 3-4 cm above the chickpeas.
Bring to a boil, lower the heat and continue cooking for two hours.
When the chickpeas are ready, strain the water and keep it. Although the recipe usually needs 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the cooking water, it’s best to keep all the water and in the end throw what you don’t need.
Grind all the ingredients in a food processor with the spinning blade and add cooking water from the chickpeas 1 tablespoon at a time.
If the hummus is too thick, add more water, a tablespoon at a time.
If too thin, add raw tahini.
Put in a fridge for an hour to mix flavors and stir again.
Fix seasoning and serve.
