Italian Style Fish & Tomatoes with Lettuce Salad – HCG 500 Cal.

A delicious and quick dish suitable for the HCG diet (Dr. Simmons diet or a spray diet) with all the restrictions and the foods allowed. The combination of tomatoes and basil creates a subtle and interesting taste that is unique to Italian cuisine.

Fish Ingredients

100 g tomatoes from a can of diced tomatoes (check on the label and make sure it contains only diced tomatoes without oil or sugar) ground in a food processor

100 g fish fillet no skin or bones, cut into 1-2 cm cubes

1/2 cup chopped basil leaves

2 crushed garlic cloves

1 tablespoon vinegar (check the label to verify it contains no sugar)

Salt

A small pinch of chili powder

Salad Ingredients

200 g hand-torn lettuce leaves

Juice from 1/2 a lemon

A few drops of stevia

Preparing the Fish

Put the tomatoes in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Add the fish and spices except for the vinegar.

Bring again to a boil, lower the heat and cook for 15 minutes while stirring.

Remove from the fire and add the vinegar.

You can add a grissini stick broken to pieces. It comes out just like a stew – thick and delicious.

Making the Salad

Mix all the salad ingredients together.

Taste. The taste shouldn’t be sour or sweet but balanced in the middle.
