A very tasty main course that requires five minutes of preparation and then just put it in a crock-pot and forget it for five hours. Excellent with mashed potatoes or with rice.
1 kg minced meat
2 cups chopped fresh mushrooms
1 medium chopped onion
5 crushed garlic cloves
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons mustard
1 teaspoon of Italian spices (oregano, basil, marjoram, etc. – each spice creates a different taste)
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat crock-pot set on Low.
Mix well the meat, mushrooms, eggs, onions, garlic, spices, salt and pepper.
Form a loaf and place it in the center of the crock-pot.
If the mixture is too soft and does not retain its shape, you can put it in an English cake pan, and place the pan inside the pot.
Mix the tomato paste, mustard, salt and pepper.
Spread the mixture over the loaf.
Cook in a crock-pot for five hours.
