3 tbsp olive oil
1kg fillet or sirloin beef cut into small cubes
2 onions sliced into strips
1 green hot pepper clean of kernels and finely chopped
1 spicy red pepper free of kernels and finely chopped
2 potatoes cut into small cubes
3 carrots cut into circles
1/2 white cabbage cut into thin strips
Salt to taste
1 cup black or green lentils
Place the lentils in a pot with water and bring to a boil, lower the heat and cook for another 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and strain.
Heat the oil in a very large frying pan or a wide, low pot.
Add the meat and fry it over high heat on all sides until it’s slightly browned.
Add the remaining ingredients and continue cooking while stirring until the potato is ready (the carrots should be a little crunchy).
